The weekend before last I was a counselor at a Winter Camp. And it was awesome! :D
This was kind of unexpected but a answer to prayer. They had a female counselor cancelled on them and needed someone to take that place. And I was excited to say yea I'll help out!
When I got there and started to help out before leaving for the camp I realized I knew only two people. But by the end of the weekend when we where having a small group with our girls they said it was like they have known me long time. I thought that was so awesome!
It was awesome to be with a great group of middle school and high schoolers learning how to be a Fighter!
If you ever have a chance to serve and encourage people younger then you. Go for it!
Not only was it awesome for me to able to serve others. But I learned so much on being a Fighter."For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12
Its so important for us not to forget to put on the armor of God daily and to actually use it. And that we need to claim the VICTORY. Because Jesus has already overcome the world!
"...In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
"13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."
Ephesians 6:13-18
